Summer 1971 - A group of community members met at the high school to discuss the possibility of building a care center in Solon. A steering committee was formed, then a corporation was founded.
December 1972 - 1024 shares had been sold to residents of the Solon community for $100 each and the land was purchased from the Frank Krob Estate.
September 22-23, 1973 - An Open House was held for the completed facility and the first resident moved in the very next day. By January 1974, occupancy was at 100% with 45 residents.
January 1976 - The South wing was added accommodating 23 more residents. Included were a chapel, an office, a small dining room, and a second shower room.
March 1986 - The Terrace Lane Retirement Village was completed and residents began moving into their condos.
September 1999 - The second independent condo builidng, Terrace Lane Glen, opened. Discussions began about building an assisted living.
May 2009 - Groundbreaking ceremony for the assisted living addition.
January 5, 2010 - The first Assisted Living tenant moved into the community.
April 10, 2010 - Grand Opening and Dedication Ceremony for Assisted Living
Our campus is owned by the community and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors
