Who We Are
The mission of the Solon Retirement Village Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, is to advance the quality of life of the elderly and disabled served by the Solon Retirement Village and in the Solon area. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
Think of the Solon Retirement Village Foundation for
- funeral memorials
- estate planning
- a memorial gift in someone’s name
The Foundation is supported solely by grants and donations and is used for needs above and beyond the capabilities of the Solon Retirement Village business. Supported projects include additional seating for community Catholic church services on Thursdays, Nustep exercise equipment, specialized memory care activity supplies, automatic door openers and more.

Buy a Brick Campaign
In our community, our connections to the past and the desire to leave a legacy run deep. Thousands of families have been touched by the Solon Retirement Village/Solon Nursing Care Center since its inception in 1973. Now there is a unique opportunity to honor that history and invest in its future by purchasing a brick for the SRV Gazebo.
The Gazebo sits prominently on the front lawn of the Assisted Living Building and is available for the SRV residents and guests, former residents/families and Solon community members for gatherings and special events.
BRICKS ARE ONLY $99!
Each brick can be personalized with up to 4 lines. Net proceeds will go to support the ongoing needs of the community consistent with our mission. Bricks make great Christmas/anniversary/birthday gifts as well as memorials and special recognition.
The Foundation is supported solely by individual gifts and grants. Gifts may be undesignated or designated. Designated funds include:
- Memory Care
- Palliative Care
- Good Samaritan Fund
- Another purpose specified by the donor
